According to the Houston Police Department, a 17-year old male has been charged in connection with the recent accident that killed a Texas Southern University Law student and injured two others. The teen allegedly was attempting to flee patrol officers after being asked to step out of his car. The driver ultimately ran a red light and struck the vehicle containing the victim, 27-year old Halley Catherine Shaw.
